The scientific name of smart phone addiction is - NAMOPHOBIA
In common parlance,It is a disease which manifest itself in the form of a strong fear to end up without your phone. Not everyone realizes that they are actually having this illness . However, If you've pinpointed this problem in yourself and would like to stop being addicted.

Symptoms and signs of the addiction .
- You spend more time with your mobile than with other people .
- You use your phone during a meal time .
- You can't stop browsing even though, you know that you better be doing something important.

Turn off-Notification
Many people get distracted by endless notification, they receive from facebook, Instagram, twitter, and other apps. You don't need to know right away if someone likes your status update, follow you on Instagram or send you an email.The more often check your phone, the more it become an ingrained habit so turn off notification, and you'll compelled to use your phone.
Delete all unnecessary apps

Now by this we don't mean that one should decide to not check their smartphone more than 10 times a day but what can be done is to fix particular time when it wouldn't be. For instance, It's advisable to keep smartphones away during meals and social gathering.
Take help from tracking apps
There are innumerable apps are present in play store and appstore that actually help you limit your smartphone usage. some of are rescue time, appdetox,freedom, etc You can download these apps and configure them as per your convenience to keep your smartphone usage under check.Imagine a movie where the main character constantly check his smartphone. A distracted character wouldn't make much of a hero.
What's to say you're not the main character of your life?
